We completely understand how frustrating and disruptive a change in insurance eligibility can be, especially as a new homeowner. We do want to provide some additional context. Eligibility and underwriting decisions are not made at the local agency level. Our role is to help our customers navigate the process, communicate requirements, and advocate for them when possible.

As part of the home insurance application process, we also communicated that an exterior survey of the property would be completed when the policy was submitted. Unfortunately, the results of that survey can sometimes lead to additional underwriting requirements or changes in eligibility that we cannot determine in advance or control at the agency level. We also offered you assistance in finding a new carrier to work with.
